Paris Photo Exhibition

I was happy to have the chance to visit Paris Photo. It was an amazing exhibition with lots of artists in many different fields of photography. Is really a place where you can pick up new ideas, new views. The space was also a big Art Fair where you could buy prints and books.

Only in England: Photographs by Tony Ray-Jones and Martin Parr

This exhibition of Science Museum shows Tony Ray-Jones works in later 60s after he returned from America. He started pioneering in street photography in America with others and when he returned to England he adopted the idea of street photography. He picked up English beaches where the the landscape was more similar with the ages of postwar back in 50s. It was everything like going back in time. He examined English habits in their holiday. He documented this pictures in fear of Americanisation.
British people with their tradition and their mentality is truly represented by his pictures. Later on Martin Parr picked up his idea and continued to take similar funny pictures.
Their pictures are full with surreal elements and self-irony of people.

The show gives a futuristic impression. It`s like stepping into the future. After visiting this show the world is not the same any more. Mind-blowing ideas combined with amazing techniques in many fields. We can find science, art, fashion and architecture in this exhibition. One can feel really useless with their traditional techniques if this is going to be the future.
